Welcome aspiring musicians!  I am so excited that your learner has interest in learning to play the ukulele! 

This beginner course is for students who have no prior ukulele experience.  During the class, students will learn the basics of playing the ukulele!  They will learn how to strum and play the C-major chord! Learning to play an instrument is not just about the instrument!  This age is the perfect time to practice skills that will help to ensure success with playing the ukulele or another musical instrument!  Students will practice skills such as counting, singing to fine tune their musical ear, identifying the fingers they will use to play the ukulele as well as right versus left.  We will also be practicing life-skills such as turn-taking and being respectful of others. If your student is well beyond these basic skills, please take a look at my elementary level course.

Following class, students will be given access to a video that they can continue to practice with! 

Parents: Before class begins, you will be given access to two tutorials. The first will explain how to place dot stickers onto the fingerboard of the ukulele. These will help ensure success for young learners. The second will explain how to tune a ukulele. Your child’s ukulele should be tuned and ready before class.
