Bonjour!

In this 6 week class, we will teach your learner the essential words/concepts to get them started with the beautiful French language!  This class will be taught in French but given translations as needed to help the learners to understand and memorize what they are learning.

This class is your first step to start learning the French language with topics covering:

Basic French phonetics
The numbers 0-10
The alphabet
Self-introduction (my name is, I'm from, etc.)
Greetings (hello, how are you, bye, etc.)
People (mom, dad, sister, brother, etc.)
Emotions (happy, sad, angry, confused, etc.)
Places (home, school, bathroom, etc.)
Food (meals, ordering, etc.)

Tentative Schedule:

Week 1: Greetings
Week 2: People
Week 3: Emotions
Week 4: Places
Week 5: Numbers
Weeks 6: Food

No French background knowledge is required. This lesson is perfect for New French learners.

The class flow will be greetings, review, learning a new skill, practicing, and speaking. This class does meet twice a week with lessons, games, worksheets, homework for extra practice.

Homework is optional but is strongly recommended to not only practice in between classes but to help remember the new language as you continue to speak it.
