This class is a creative way to learn dance steps and get moving! In this class, we will bring the story of The Little Mermaid to life through our dance steps and use our ballet exercises to pretend to dance an adventure with Ariel. Students will practice ballet steps that improve balance, coordination and strength. I am a Royal Academy of Dance certified ballet instructor with over two decades of teaching experience with recreational, pre-professional and professional dancers. I get children dancing and enjoying ballet by using creative and imaginative elements. My students learn good dance technique and we have a lot of fun doing so!
Students need to wear clothes that they can move in and have a space where they can move around. Bare feet are best if your floor is slippery. If students own ballet, jazz or gym shoes they can wear those, but it is not required. Please have a parent or other responsible adult nearby while your child is participating. However, parents will not participate in the class.
