Students in this class students should know regular verbs and basic grammar concepts of the Spanish language. The interaction with students will be by asking simple questions, answering questions, repeating words etc. Visual aids will be provided in each class to help students understand and remember what they are learning in class. During the first classes students will learn grammar concepts associated with verb conjugations. As the course progresses students will be introduced to new grammar concepts such as subject verbs in progressive forms. Each week students will increase their knowledge based on what they have learned the previous week. In this class students will learn:

Week 1: How? (Como?) + do 
In this class students will learn to ask questions using "how" (Spanish - como) + the auxillary do + subject + verb. 
Week 2: How many? (Cuanto?) + There is (Hay)
In this class students will learn the use of there is (Spanish - hay)  in Spanish sentences
Week 3: How long? Que tan largo? + verb to be
In this class students will learn to ask how long questions in Spanish
Week 4: How many? (Cuantos?) + There are (Hay)
In this class students will learn the use of here are (Spanish - hay)  in Spanish sentences
Week 5: How? (Como?) + verb to be
In this class students will learn to ask questions using "how" (Spanish - como) + verb to be. 
Week 6: How? (Como?) + does 
In this class students will learn to ask questions using "how" (Spanish - como) + the auxillary does + subject + verb. 
Week 7: How? (Como?) + to 
In this class students will learn to ask questions using "how" (Spanish - como) + to + verb. 
Week 8: Review. In this class we will review the most important topics covered in this course

Students should be able to follow the class explanation with the guide I will provide and they are encouraged to take notes. The guide comes with question that students will answer in class to apply and reinforce what they have learned. This is an intermediate class that requires at least a basic understanding of Spanish.
