このクラスで学べること
French-language learners who have already learned breakfast food vocabulary will practice and take descriptions to a new level. This one-time class is best for students who have at least 1 year of French learning previously. The class will be divided into three main parts: 1) Review of breakfast food and drink vocabulary with images, requiring students to produce the words, while practicing the correct pronunciation 2) A google slide explanation of the partitive article in French and how it is used to describe foods. How do you say "some butter" versus "a butter"? How do you say "a coffee" vs. "some coffee". The partitive "du", "de la" and "des" can be tricky for French learners. Each student will be asked to choose the correct article before the foods and drinks. 3) A Youtube video "Au Petit Déjeuner" by Alain le Lait. Students will listen to the lyrics and complete the worksheet as we watch it together. Then, we will analyze the how the partitive article is used to say what people are eating and drinking as well as their preferences. This catchy song will get stuck in their head!
