By the end of this class, the learners will be able to:
-- Sign yes and no, please, thank you, and other courtesy phrases in ASL
-- Use  the basics of fingers spelling the alphabet
-- Express wants and needs using ASL
-- Understand mote about Deaf history and culture.

I am certified in grades K-12 Special Education and I have been trained in the use of American Sign Language (ASL) in college classes, to communicate with deaf students and young children with speech delays. I use sign language to communicate with students in my classroom. I am a language acquisition specialist and have studied language acquisition methodology at the graduate level.
