ASL: P.D. and Peter Eastman were proteges of Dr. Seuss. If you love Dr. Seuss style books, then you'll love learning American Sign Language with me. Together, we will interpret these beloved books with themed vocabulary. Class length varies from 24-26 mins. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Experience ASL vocabulary through detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. It is my joy to teach you ASL in a fun and interesting format to learn ASL as a second language and bridge the gap between the hearing and Deaf communities. Come sign with me!

ASL helps students with multiple learning needs by reinforcing vocabulary. Research has shown incorporating sign language with spoken language improves comprehension, expression, and communication for special education learners.

You are welcome to follow along with us using the books: "Are You My Mother?" and "Go, Dog, Go!" by P.D. Eastman and "Fred and Ted Go Camping" by Peter Eastman. However, they are not necessary for these classes.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am also a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class. レビュー
