In this class, learners will review the five W question words; who, what, why, where and when. 

I will give the starting scenario for a short story and ask the learners to use the five W question words to develop their main character and develop the story line. 

Learners will write an opening paragraph for their story.

I will then use the question list devised by Proust to encourage learners to develop the personality of their protagonist more. 

I will cover details such as under “Who?” the importance of giving characters names that suit their personality and their adventure.

I will teach the class but I will give individual attention to each learner, I will make sure each learner speaks and each learner understands the lesson and task, and makes a start on writing a short story. My style is relaxed but I make sure learners learn concrete facts and can put them into practise.

Learners are free to ask questions and discuss the lesson material with myself and other learners.
