Course Overview:  
Welcome to our weekly Artistic Mastery: From Concept to Creation Full Curriculum Class Drawing & Painting , where intermediate-level art students can take their skills to the next level! 
Designed for Middle School aged artists, an inspiring and dynamic art curriculum aligned with National Core Standards for Secondary Visual Arts. This course is designed to unlock the creativity within every student, reinforcing the idea that everyone has the potential to be an artist.
In Artistic Mastery, we dive deep into the Elements of Art, fostering self-expression and creativity in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re new to art or looking to refine your skills, this class provides the tools and guidance needed to explore and master fundamental artistic concepts. Each lesson is crafted to spark your imagination, featuring insight tips to help you develop originality in your work.
Throughout the course, you’ll engage in a wide range of projects that encourage you to apply and experiment with the Elements of Art. By the end of the semester, you’ll have created a comprehensive portfolio that not only demonstrates your understanding of these essential elements but also reflects your unique artistic voice and growth. This course is designed for young artists with some drawing experience who want to deepen their understanding of art techniques and experiment with new styles. It's perfect for junior high and high school students who want to advance their skills in creating more realistic and three-dimensional art, as well as those who wish to add a personal vision and creative touch to their work.

📋 Class Structure Our classes are designed to be interactive and engaging, with a structured format that supports learning and creativity: 
• Learner Check-In: Each session begins with a check-in where students can share their recent artwork and thoughts on the upcoming class. 
• Focused Lessons: A lesson that introduces the weekly focus, ensuring students understand the key concepts and techniques before starting their projects. 
• Drawing Demonstrations: The teacher will lead a step-by-step drawing demonstration, guiding students through each stage of the process. 
• Show-and-Tell Sessions: Students are encouraged to participate in a show-and-tell session, sharing their experiences and expressing their wishes for future classes. Classroom Do's and Don'ts: 
• Please do arrive to class on time with necessary materials and supplies. 
• Please do check-in with video and audio to begin. Only registered students will be able to attend class. During the draw-along, while classes are generally muted to reduce background noise, students are encouraged to unmute themselves at any point to ask questions or share insights. In larger classes, students will be asked to raise their hands before speaking. 
*Camera on preferred for on-the-spot support and for safety
*Siblings and/or co-learners must each be enrolled to attend. All students must be enrolled separately per Outschool policy. *Unenrolled students at the time of class will be placed in the waiting room until the parent can enroll them.
*All classes will begin on time as long as the learner is in the classroom. If all students are absent at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit after 10 minutes.

• Portraits and Figures: In-depth study on drawing human faces, hands, feet and figures, capturing emotion, movement, clothing and self-portraiture.
• Fantasy Animals and Landscapes: Unleash your imagination by creating fantastical worlds, animals and environments. 
• Still Life: Study the art of composition and lighting with objects from everyday life. 
•  Color Mastery: Unlock the secrets of color through an exciting exploration of tints, shading, values, and tones. Transform your artwork with vibrant color palettes that pop!
