This one time painting class will celebrate the beauty of fall! We'll used photographs and artwork impressionist painters painters to inspire our fall painted paths. Class will begin with an opportunity for students to introduce themselves and share what Autumn is like in their part of the world. Then we'll spend approximately 5-7 minutes looking at images and paintings of fall walking trails, leaf covered pathways, and artwork depicting fall created by impressionists painters. Students...
Students will learn to paint using a variety of tools. Students will create a mixed media art piece that reflects their personality and experiences. Students will learn about impressionist artists and how they create.
Ms. Stephanie is a VA state certified k-12 arts educator and arts in healthcare professional with 25 yrs experience teaching artists of all ages and abilities to create with joy and reach their personal best in order to experience the wonder, magic and healing power of the act of making! And, because she's a fall baby, fall is her jam ya'll! Bring on the fire pits, beautiful colors, cozy sweaters and all things pumpkin!
Mixed media paper (e.5x11 or larger) acrylic craft paint in fall colors, white and black paint daubers (generally wooden handle, round foam tipped paint "brushes") index card or same sized piece of cardboard 1/2" painters tape Acrylic paint is difficult to wash out of clothing, please dress for mess and cover your work space.
Stephanie creates here own presentations for every class using her extensive knowledge of art history and art making experiences to make these one of a kind art classes.
