このクラスで学べること
In this 4 lesson course, we will create dessert art! Each lesson I will post a video demonstrating a guided lesson! Students can personalize their background and make creative choices. I will show students several examples to help with the brainstorming process! No prior knowledge is needed. In this class each project will feature a new art medium- acrylic paint, colored pencil and oil pastel! Lesson One: Cupcakes in Colored Pencil In this lesson students will create a color pencil drawing of a cupcake. Students can personalize and make choices in color and style. We will work on value & shading in this lesson as well. Lesson Two: Ice Cream in Oil Pastel In this lesson students will create a color pencil drawing of a ice cream cone. Students can personalize and make choices in color and style. We will work on value in this lesson as well. This lesson value will be more about coloring blending and building since we will be using oil pastel. Lesson Three: Donuts in Acrylic Paint: Part 1 This will be a two part lesson where students will creating creating decorative donuts in acrylic paint. Lesson Four: Donuts in Acrylic Paint: Part 2

1. Drawing paper: 8.5x11 printer paper is fine 2. Black Marker 3. Color pencils 4. Pencil with eraser 5. Basic acrylic paint set: colors used in demo grey, light brown, white and whatever colors you want frosting & sprinkles to be. 6. Heavy weight paper like cardstock or canvas board 7. I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.
I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!
