Making a living as a professional artist is not easy. In this workshop, you will gain a comprehensive overview of the art and entertainment industry. This class is designed to help educate parents and students about the career path of being an artist.

✅  Art Education - We will be talking about the differences between the world's top art schools, universities with art programs, private art academies, and online art schools. There are more choices than ever for art education. I will break down the pros and cons of each choice and show you my top recommendations. 

✅  Art Careers - We will be talking about art careers for 2022. Making a living as an artist today is very different than it was 10 - 20 years ago. Social media and technology has really changed the way people create and use "art." We will be discussing what it will look like to work as artist in the video game industry, the animation industry, the film industry, the theme park industry, and even working as an independent artist where you use social media to promote yourself and sell your work! 

✅  Artist Salaries - Want to know how much do artists get paid at Disney? We will take a look at artist salaries and how they compare to more common jobs. We will be also reviewing many professional artist websites to see the type of work they need to create at their jobs.

✅  Mindset and Tips - I'll tell you some do's and don'ts for being professional artist and the mindset you need to succeed! I'll be giving you some actionable tips you can start doing NOW to prepare you for your journey.

This is a great workshop for middle school and high school students are very serious about art and considering it as their career path. While younger students are welcome to partake in the class - please keep in mind that this is a lecture-style class with a lot of information and limited interactivity. There will be a short Q&A session after every lecture for students to ask a couple of questions. 

⚠️  Note: While parents are welcome to sit in on the workshop on the side, parents are not allowed to be seen on camera or talk during the workshop as dictated by Outschool safety and privacy policy.  Students and parents are also welcome to ask questions in the classroom after the workshop as well. I love to help!
