We’ll delve into the exciting world of animation by discussing different techniques that Disney Animators similar to cel animation, onion-skinning, and “squash and stretch.” The first week will be foundational in nature. Animation technique based on digital frames much like how Disney animators used cel animation in classics such as Snow White, Fantasia, and Mickey Mouse. We will incorporate traditional onion skinning, movement, and squash and stretch. Your child will have a better understanding and appreciation of this artform.

Students will need to have the Procreate app installed on their tablet (iPad). Registration is not required, however the app will need to be purchased on one of the app stores. This a beginner’s course and is a great way to introduce drawing and animation to your child/children. This course is a recommended course for most of my digital art classes.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses: Procreate (iPad) Procreate Pocket (iPhone)
