Hello to fans of nature and the outdoors! In this ongoing drawing class, beginner artists will learn to draw living things in guided drawing lessons. We will look carefully at animals, birds, plants and insects with fun facts offered each week. I will demonstrate on both drawing paper and in a nature journal. I introduce our lesson with a quick pencil sketch to demonstrate the shapes we see. Our samples to draw are objects from the real world and photographs. The students follow my skill...

I have my B.A. in Education with a visual arts specialty from the University of Toronto in Canada. My experience includes 20 years teaching in elementary classrooms from kindergarten to grade 8 and in online classes. My personal sketchbook is filled with nature drawings and anime cartoon illustrations. I love teaching young learners the artistic skills that bring their creative ideas to life!
