This is an interactive class. I believe that children should feel heard and their views respected. I spend a few minutes asking children to share knowledge of sharks. Please note that this is planned and I incorporate it in all my classes. We also engage in discussion through the class as it is science-based. This is not a straight lecture only class. 

The bull shark is considered to be one of the most aggressive shark. But is it really? In this class, we will find out. We will learn everything about the bull shark, how they navigate their habitat, their role in the ecosystem, the threat to their numbers and efforts to preserve them. (This class content does not overlap with my Animal Brain Series on Sharks. The material covered in this class is new, and specific to the bull shark). 

The goal of the class is to encourage curiosity and to have fun learning about the oceans' vast marine life. I will be using a few powerpoint slides, media clips, and other resources to illustrate the concepts. Students will be encouraged to participate verbally. but can stay silent if they wish. The goal is to have fun while learning about the earths' magnificent creatures!
