By the end of this single class, students will be able to recognise the things that make them feel angry. They will also become more in tune with the physical signs their body gives them as a signal that they're getting angry. With this newfound awareness, they can practice taking a moment to think before reacting when faced with challenging situations. Additionally, we will explore different ways to express anger in a healthy manner. ♦︎Introduction: 👋 Warm Introductions 🙂 Brief Review of the Feeling of Anger ♦︎Main Content: 😡Anger Triggers 🚦Body Signs 💫Healthy Ways to Express Anger This class offers an excellent foundation for addressing the topic of anger. By acknowledging and discussing this common emotion, it aims to destigmatize anger while equipping children with valuable techniques for them to practice.

Hello, I'm Alison, and I'm thrilled to be here to guide your child on a journey of learning important life skills. With over 16 years of experience as a School Counselor, Special Educational Needs Coach, and School Social Worker, I'm dedicated to teaching social, emotional, and well-being skills to children and young people.
During the last decade, I've worked as an international school counselor. I frequently conducted individual and group sessions covering a range of topics, including social skills, anger management, self-regulation, executive functioning, self-control, ADHD/Autism support, and understanding / responding to strong feelings.
My teaching approach involves a three-part method: engaging students' minds by presenting skills objectively, connecting with their emotions by relating skills to their own experiences, and providing hands-on activities to reinforce learning in a multisensory manner. This ensures a deeper understanding and practical application of the skills taught.
I have been teaching social, emotional, well-being and character development for most of my career. To support this work, I have been trained in and utilize various accredited social and emotional programs, including Zones of Regulation, Kelso's Choices, and Second Step. These programs have also played a key role within my lessons as they promote emotional intelligence, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
I have spent a number of years working with students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus of my work was on developing their executive functioning, social skills, and academics.
When I'm not teaching on Outschool, I cherish spending time with my family. I have three children ranging from middle school to Grade 2, and we love going on walks together. My favorite moments include watching the sunset and exploring new food.
I'm excited to get to know my new students and embarking on this learning adventure together. Part of our success will be down to parent collaboration so I welcome your messages before, during, or after any group sessions.
