During this camp, students will explore the role of American women in relationship to the Presidential Election in the USA. Students will draw a Travel Girl character wearing costumes to highlight five specific aspects of women in politics: Statue of Liberty, Suffrage Movement, First Lady, Supreme Court Justice and Voter. Students of all drawing abilities are able to enjoy this class as the Travel Girl is drawn using shapes and lines. Prior American political knowledge is not needed. ...
Students will develop a basic understanding of American women's relationship history in the USA by exploring five specific roles: First Lady, Voter, Suffrage Activist, Supreme Court Judge, and Statue of Liberty. Also, students will improve their drawing ability by using common shapes to create a personalized Travel Girl wearing five different costumes.
