The men who crafted the constitution of the United States are as interesting and diverse as the nation that they created. Throughout history there have always been brave, bold and talented people who build nations and lead people from all walks of life and various backgrounds. This course will cover the men who created a new nation and put their vision of freedom into practice. They did not always agree but each made their voices heard and made their mark on the nation that they all desired to build.
Through lecture, artworks and literature we shall explore the not so distant past of the United States of America. I hope that interesting facts, lively discussion and engaging stories will bring the world of early American History to life. I plan to show artworks and lay out the biographies of the above notable figures of the period. I will do this through lecture, discussion and art history principles. In this class I will use art history principles to help students understand the material and to get a better sense of who the listed framers of the constitution were and what personal achievements and beliefs helped influence their input into building our nation.
