We will go on a Pirate Pete Club STEAM treasure hunt. Use your best skills to explore the secret life of plants on a global hunt. You will discover seeds in the forest as we look for the treasure. Next you might explore a forest along our teasure map, stopping to look at a huge tree and right underneath, the tiniest plants of all. Zooming in around the world, next stop the city of New York. Students will learn about plants and nature. All the kids will see how they might continue to have fun with STEAM in their life. Each child will gain an understanding about the different kinds of plants, where plants grow and the different parts of a plant. The students will gain an appreciation for protecting the environment and helping create a green future for everyone. Kids will share and learn at their own level and explore ideas from nature around the world.
Pirate Pete, Mr. Peter Simmons is a teacher with over 15 years of classroom eperience at the elementary through college level teaching STEAM to young people. He teaches STEAM to kids throughout New England and online around the world. He enjoys working with his students with special needs. Mr. Simmons lives in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. As a film artist he produces STEAM films and videos. His work has won numerous awards at film festivals in San Francisco, New York and Germany. He won a special prize along side George Lucas of Star Wars fame. Mr. Simmons taught film to Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. He has three wonderful daughters and six grand children.

At the end of each one time Pirate Pete Social Club treasure hunt every student will win a prize as the treasure hunt ends. The prize will be based on what students did in class. Fun for all.成績が提供されます
Students will need to have drawing paper and colored pencils, markers or crayons if they want to draw in class.
We will work from pictures and books. If the students want to explore live plants outside of class, in their own backyard they will be guided to only do that with a trusted adult because all plants are not safe.
