From the Sahara Desert, to the Jungle, to the Island of Madagascar, Africa is home to some of the most unique animals in the world! Some are deadly and some are simply adorable! Many species in Africa are "endemic," which means that you can only find them there, and nowhere else in the wild! From venomous creepy crawlies to dangerous predators and vulnerable prey, we will learn all about the animals of Africa. We will delve into each animal's lifestyle, the adaptations that allow them...
Students will understand how animals can thrive in even the harshest environments due to specialized adaptations necessary for survival. Students will learn many things such as habitat, behavior, diet, and fascinating facts about 2 amazing species each week. There will be some live appearances from my own collection of reptiles every now and then, when relevant to the class material.
I am an Animal Science teacher with 15 years of teaching experience, with a Masters of Education. Credentials are uploaded and can be requested through Outschool.
