アヒルについて、恐怖に立ち向かうこと、そして勇敢になることについて！

   Hello there! My name is Teacher Johanna! I am so excited to teach your child and witness their joy of learning! I am committed to making sure it is fun, enjoyable and thorough! 
   I graduated college with Honors status and received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have over 20 years experience teaching children in and out of the classroom, with a focus on teaching early childhood, English phonics, reading and literature and nature! I have experience starting and running my own preschool out of my home. Also, I am a certified TESOL and TEFL teacher who has been teaching online ESL (English Speakers of Other Languages) to students ages 4-12, since 2017, where I specialize in teaching phonics and reading classes to young children and older childern. 
  Furthermore, I am currently and have successfully homeschooled my own 8 children (ages 4-20), including my four adopted children from China! My passions include teaching children of all ages, world travel, reading, spending time with family, photography, writing, nature, gardening, art, and taking care of the many animals on our farm! I believe the world is our classroom and books are our maps! I try to get outside and do most of our learning and reading in nature where there is always a treasure to unearth and new discoveries to be made! 
Literature is a huge passion of mine and I love taking students on adventures through the dual gift of "nature" and "literature!" I love to combine stories, nature, and experience  into my thematic and engaging classes.
   Most of all, nothing gives me greater joy and excitement than helping a child succeed and learn new things in life and watching all the light in their eyes emerge as they learn something fascinating or get lost in the wonder of a story!  I will be offering a variety of classes in many subject areas that all have JOY as a common theme! I am so delighted to meet and teach your child and it is a great honor to guide them in new experiences, passions, and interests! Let's have fun discovering about this beautiful world while we take a joyful journey of wonder and whimsy together through stories, science and a variety of special surprises!
