In this five day camp, students will be introduced to the concepts of evaluating expressions and solving one and two step equations. Students will solve equations with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication to solve for a variable. The main goal of this class is to introduce students to algebra at a young age that is fun and interactive. I utilize a lot of on screen interaction and participation from my students. This class will help to begin a welcoming interest into the concepts of algebra and explain the correlation of why letters may begin popping up in your math problems! If your student is not fluent with multiplication and division I suggest have a calculator handy for class.

Day 1- Students will be introduced to evaluating expressions. Students will each participate interactively to solve expressions with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Day 2- Students will review expressions and go over introduction to one step equations with addition and subtraction. Students will each participate interactively to solve equations with addition and subtraction
Day 3- Students will review expressions and one step equations. We will introduce one step equations using multiplication and division. Students will each participate interactively to solve equations with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Day 4- Students will be introduced to two step equations. Students will each participate interactively to solve two step equations with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Day 5- Students will learn how to combine like terms. Students will all participate to review content we covered in the first four days followed by an interactive review game that tests all concepts we covered.
