テスト
Once again, this class is a non-graded course. Parent is highly encouraged to acquire the Testing Book and have student complete Tests every four weeks to check for understanding. Testing Book contains step-by-step solutions. This will give parents the opportunity to monitor progress of their learners.

The Saxon approach, known for its incremental development, will help students gain confidence through constant practice and review, building a robust understanding of algebraic principles. By the end of the semester, students will be well-prepared to tackle higher-level mathematics and apply their algebraic skills to real-world challenges.

•	The goal is to cover 3 - 4 lessons each week.
•	Students should have acquired the textbook to use in class.
•	Since classes are recorded, I will not be able to show the textbook
        or question on camera.
•	Questions will be read with the textbook off camera, only work
        will be recorded.
•	This means when students return to view the recording, if needed,
they will need the textbook again to read the question.
•	We will evaluate understanding by playing Kahoot! about every three
        weeks.

Class Breakdown:
•	Direct Instruction: Class will begin with a new lesson if a Kahoot! is
        not scheduled.
•	Guided Practice: If a second example in the same lesson is like the first,
time will be given to the students (about 5-7 minutes) for them to solve
it and asked to volunteer their solution.
•	Closing Minutes: 5-7 minutes at end of class to allow students to ask
        questions they may still have.

Students’ expectations:
•	I will open the classroom 5 minutes before class starts, students are
expected to arrive to class on time.
•	Camera is expected to be turned on when they enter the classroom to
verify learners but can be turned off after the first 3 minutes if learner
        feels more comfortable.
•	Students are expected to participate throughout the full class time by
        answering questions in the chat.
•	Students are expected to ask questions if a particular explanation needs
        further clarification.
•	This class is a non-graded course, but students are highly encouraged to
complete the Practice and Problem Set at the end of each lesson to
        continue their learning.
•	In addition, students are also encouraged to complete Tests from the
Testing Book every four weeks to check for understanding.
•	For this reason, we will leave 5-7 minutes at the end of each class for
students to ask any questions they may have.

Differentiated Instruction:
•	Visual Learners: diagrams, graphs, and technology, such as graphing
        calculators
•	Auditory Learners: reading of math problem, verbal/chat explanations
•	Kinesthetic Learners: use of a game-based learning platform, Kahoot!
•	Advanced Learners: challenged to complete every available test in
        the testing book
•	Struggling Learners: follow along with the solutions manual the Practice
and Problem Set until you feel confident, then challenge yourself by
completing them again without accessing the solutions manual.

Learners can join the class any week.
See syllabus for more details about weekly lessons.

学習到達目標

With a focus on practical applications and problem-solving skills, students will engage with more advanced topics, including complex numbers, quadratics, vectors, radical expressions and equations, systems of two and three variables, and inequalities
Emphasis will also be placed on mastering the techniques for solving and graphing these complex functions.
