Previous dance experience required. Students must already have a solid split leap (almost to 180 degrees in the air) and a double pirouette on both sides. This course will consist of conditioning and drilling for various advanced leaps and turns to include: triple pirouettes, fouette turns, illusion turns, switch/scissor leaps, and ring leaps. Of course, we will warm up first with dynamic stretching to prevent injury. My teaching style is very interactive and I will watching each student...
Students will be able to land a triple pirouette and at least a 45 degree switch/scissor leap by the end of the course while having the conditioning drills needed to continue to perfect and work on their illusion turns, fouette turns, and ring leaps.
I have over 10 years of experience in jazz and ballet dancing and over 3 years of experience teaching. I owned my own dance studio in Grand Prairie, TX (Dance With Jenny!) for 2 years.

It is highly recommended that parents supervise their children as they take this class and ensure that they adhere to the correct flooring requirement, spacing requirement, and clothing requirement. Dance is a physical art form and injuries can occur if children are not focused and not dancing in the right setting or clothing. It is imperative that students wear either jazz dance shoes or dance barefoot- NO socks allowed, as slipping is very easy when trying to dance in socks.
