このクラスで学べること
This is a one-time class that will focus on teaching and reviewing action verbs. We will learn all about action verbs and discuss what an action verb is. We will share some verbs that we like to do. Next, each student will design and create a picture of a hero (any noun of choice: person, object, animal...). Then they will decide on 6 or more special actions their hero is able to do and write them down. At the end of class each student will have the opportunity to share their action hero...
Students will learn that a verb is a word that shows an action. They will create a list of verbs to describe their action heroes.
I have taught many lessons while teaching in schools where students struggled to remember what a verb is and when and how to use them. This lesson is designed to engage students about verbs through experiencing them in a hands on way.
Students need to come to class with the document attached, a pencil, and coloring materials of their choice (crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint).
