7年生数学クラブ

The ongoing club dates will take place once a week. The topics are not connected to each other, so students may come in and join at any time during the year, or skip a week. This is a review of common standardized math topics, as well as remediation, extra practice, and home learning help. This is not a live class. Students may come in with any math home learning topic and receive assistance on whatever math topic he/she needs.

Due to the ongoing nature of the schedule, the sessions are not designed to be a course, but a weekly review of essential math concepts designed to remediate student learning. 

There is also a time for home learning help or guided practice where students can work on Mathematics activities with teacher guidance. 

Club Sessions are broken up into three segments:

1-Students will enter the classroom and be given a brief warm-up activity containing math drills that build mathematical fluency and confidence. This lasts about 5-10 minutes depending on the learner. 

2-Then, students will participate in a brief whole group instruction to review the math concept for the day. This supplements their traditional math class or course curriculum. This takes about 15-20 minutes. 

3-The last half of the class is devoted to guided practice and independent activities so that students can receive homework help or practice what they have just reviewed. This takes about 20-25 minutes
