6 年生数学単元 5 座標平面と幾何学

This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for students to review and practice math concepts taught in sixth grade. This class is the fifth of the series. Below is a list of concepts that we will be covering during this course.

Days 1 and 2: Coordinate Plane
Day 3: Area of Squares, Rectangles, Parallelograms, and Triangles
Day 4: Area of Trapezoids, Rhombuses, and Quadrilaterals
Day 5: Area of Compound Shapes
Day 6: Volume
Day 7: Surface Area
Day 8: Surface Area and Volume
 
In addition to the live meetings, an independent practice activity will be posted after each meeting so that students can practice learned skills independently. The independent practice activities that are digital activities will have immediate feedback, and the answer keys for any paper/pencil activities will be posted just before the next class meeting. These outside of class activities are optional but encouraged as part of the class experience.
