このクラスで学べること
In this 55 minute class, students will learn about character design. We will look at a powerpoint presentation about what makes a character in a story memorable - from their appearance to their personality. Discussion about the student's favorite characters are highly encouraged as well! Afterwards, we will take some time to draw and write about our own character for whatever kind of story your student would like to make. Finally, students can optionally discuss and share their new characters...
For as long as I was able to hold onto a pencil, I have been drawing my own comics in one way or another. I drew my own comic book series when I was 12 years old! Additionally, I have taught classes on how to create your own comics while student teaching. I am extremely passionate about comics and how you can tell a story with the combination of words and pictures!
For this course, students will need: -Pencils -Paper If the student is more comfortable drawing on a computer or a tablet, then that is perfectly okay as well!
