As a certified teacher in education for 30 years, I know children learn best in small settings. I’m always amazed at what can be accomplished in a small amount of time in a one-to-one setting. One of the biggest benefits of tutoring is seeing the "lightbulbs come on" and confidence soar.

This ONGOING 1-HOUR private tutoring session will help your child gain the necessary skills and self-confidence needed to perform successfully in phonics, reading, writing, grammar knowledge, sentence structure, and anything else that you would like for your child to learn.  

Before class, I'll send an email requesting what you'd like me to cover in classes and what areas need improvement.  All children excel differently. My goal is for all my lessons to fit the needs of each individual child.  If you request, we will be working on decoding, attacking words, orthographic mapping of words, fluency, and overall literacy skills if that is what you desire.  Got an older child who struggles with reading? They may need to go back to the basics and foundational level. As an interventionist in a middle school, I see this quite often.

If you request, we can also work on writing and grammar skills. For thirty years, I've helped children become better writers.
