Studies show the importance of phonics for young readers, which is the focus of this 6-week course. Using the science of reading and my background in Orton-Gillingham I will help your child become more confident readers and help them understand how our language works. I will provide course material in the form of a pdf. Students will need to have a notebook for class. I ask that students have writing paper and pencil (I will also provide a pdf of my writing form that can be printed and laminated to reuse in class)
