The class will begin with a review of the multiplication facts. Next, the vocabulary words equivalent fraction, least common denominator and simplest form will be explained and discussed. During the lesson I will model on the Zoom whiteboard how to find equivalent fractions for each mixed number. Then I will model how to subtract those mixed number that require renaming using the I do, we do, you do strategy. The students will be given many opportunities to find equivalent fractions then subtract mixed numbers that require renaming. The students will interact with me using Zoom whiteboard and Google slides. Students in this class should know the multiplication facts.
