This is a comprehensive reading enrichment class designed to develop reading fluency and expression, comprehension skills, related reading and language skills and written responses to literature based on Raz-kids online stories. I have taught at the elementary school level in private, public and homeschool settings since 1979. I have had experience working with Title ! students as a intervention specialist in our local public school. It is my goal to lead students into positive reading experiences and broaden their interest in reading different types of literature.

Students will need to bring a reading journal (spiral notebook or composition book) and pencil to class each week. The stories will be projected on screen for the students to share together.

Raz-kids is an online resource that will be used in class. It is a paid resource that I have received permission to use for the upcoming school year. Parents do NOT have to subscribe. The stories will be shared on screen and the students will be able to read them together in class. Related comprhension and language activites will also be shared on screen for interactive use in the classroom.
