Created for home school students and students learning from home! Come connect with other fourth grade students, make friends, and learn in a fun and positive classroom! This class will meet three days each week and will cover third grade standards for Reading /LA. We will learn and practice Reading, writing and Grammar skills. While practicing reading skills, we will also learn several 4th grade social studies standards. We will make an online book about states that we research - this is a class favorite! We will spiral through the standards making it possible for your student to join and leave at any time. Each class will be a new mini lesson and activity. I will use my personal curriculum map to ensure we are learning appropriate fourth grade standards. Class will consist of hands on activities, games, group work, discussions, video clips, lectures and slides. I always strive to create a classroom where students are learning from me and each other, sharing their work, working with other students, and learning to work together to be the best we can be! Class will be laid back and fun- I believe students thrive best in a positive, relaxed, safe atmosphere. All learners will need to be ready for fourth grade ELA standards before enrolling.
Classes will be held on Monday, Thursday, and Friday of each week.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Neal! I am a licensed teacher in the state of Indiana. I have been teaching on Outschool for five years, teaching 3rd - 6th reading/LA and Math! I taught 3rd grade for 7 years, and loved every second of it! I always knew I had a passion for math, but becoming a teacher taught me that I also have a love and passion for reading and teaching kids to love reading! My goal is always to create a classroom where students feel valued, successful, wanted, and smart! I keep my classroom positive and expect kindness and respect from all students.
I am also a mother of three, two boys ages 18 and 7 and a girl age 14. I did step away from the classroom four years ago in order to stay home with my kids. We live in Indiana during the summer and go to Florida for the winter months - I love showing my students the ocean and allowing them to see what we have seen on our adventures during the week.
I am very excited to meet you and your student in class!
