~ No prior knowledge of Russian required ~
This is an immersive class, in which I try to use as much authentic material as possible. However, I do not pressure my pupils, so the lessons take place in a fun manner with jokes, stories and interaction. 
In my lessons, I use video and audio material, games and slides, and expect pupils to participate, asking questions and interacting with each other and myself.
In week 4, there will be a group breakout session for pupils to work in small groups on a cultural topic. Depending on the number of pupils, there may also be small dialogue group sessions with set dialogues for reading aloud and then, by the end of the course, their own dialogues constructed.

The following is the brief structure of the grammar and topics we will be learning. They will be integrated into fun material to minimize the dry grammar approach as much as possible.

Week 1
Lesson 1: Russian alphabet, pronunciation and writing. Reading syllables. 
Lesson 2: Reading syllables and short words. "This is", "Here is". Gender of Nouns. Introducing yourself.

Week 2 
Lesson 1: Conjunctions, stress and vowel reduction. Hushing and velar sounds. Gender of nouns (exceptions) and personal pronouns. Short quiz.
Lesson 2: Spelling. Hard and soft consonants. Family and professions. Asking questions in Russian.

Week 3
Lesson 1: Work on pronunciation, voiced and voiceless consonants. Demonstrative pronouns. Hobbies.
Lesson 2: Numbers, days of the week, months. Short reading and dialogue.

Week 4
Lesson 1: Cultural group work. Revision of the whole class in prep for the test.
Lesson 2: Test and feedback. Presentation of the cultural group work.
