Join me in these fun hands-on lessons where I will provide step-by-step instructions for completing our science experiments. Each week we will gather supplies, print our official science journals and practice the scientific method. Each lesson there are some simplified key terms that will cover with a hands-on approach. There is a team Kahoot quiz at the end of this course covering all of the key terms covered during our 4 weeks together. No account or personal information is required to play the Kahoot game. Learners can compete for a top spot on the leaderboard by taking the quiz as many times as they'd like. Homework assignments include, answering the "question of the week" and sharing pictures of their completed science journals.

WEEK ONE: 2-in-1 Air Pressure - We will test what happens when putting a balloon over a candle. What will happen with a ballon filled with water versus a balloon filled with air? Watch in awe as our balloon gets sucked down into a bottle!
WEEK TWO: 2-in-1 Static Electricity - Create either bunnies or frogs out of tissue paper and watch them hop along with static electricity! What other things can we get to hop? Lastly, can we separate salt and pepper with a magic spoon?
WEEK THREE: 3-in-1 Balloon and a Bottle - Can you blow a piece of tissue into our bottle? Can you blow up a ballon inside our bottle? Lastly, watch in amazement as we blow up our balloons without blowing into them!
WEEK FOUR: Super Bouncy Balls and Neuton's 3rd Law of Motion - After making our own super bouncy balls, we will be testing and recording different types of balls to see how high they can bounce.

How does a “Flexible Schedule” course work?

No scheduled live video chats. Discussions via classroom forum and private messages with the teacher. Great if your learner prefers independent pacing or is uncomfortable with live video chat.

Hello parents and students,

I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. Over the years, I have learned how to engage with students in a virtual setting. I encourage student output and participation during class.

I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
