PRACTICING TO PRESERVE IT!

Goal ⭐
My aim in every class is to create a positive and engaging environment that caters to every student's level.

Experience 👩‍🏫
After obtaining my Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 2009, I taught 6th grade for five years followed by 3rd grade for another five years in a public school. During that time, I focused on tailoring my teaching to the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they received the support they needed to succeed. For the past three years, I have been teaching online, working with students of different ages across various platforms including Outschool.

Class Setting 🎒
In my class, I will be using my own custom-made worksheets and Google Slides to teach students. The class will begin with times tables as a warm-up activity, and then we will move on to an interactive lesson to learn or review the topic. We will work on several problems together, and then students will have the choice to work on a problem independently. While students are encouraged to work independently, they will not be forced to take on their own problems.

Who Is This Class For? 😊
This class is designed for 3rd graders, but can also be used for 2nd graders who want to be challenged or as a review for 4th graders.

Mississippi Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hey there! I'm excited to share that I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and spent a wonderful 10 years teaching in a public school. I had the pleasure of teaching 6th grade for 5 years and then taught in a 3rd grade classroom for the last 5 years. In my classes, I used small groups and tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students.

I'm really passionate about encouraging reading for fun and for learning. I truly believe that when students have a solid foundation in reading, learning becomes a whole lot easier. And you know what? Math has now become my new favorite subject to teach! I love coming up with different ways to help struggling learners and to challenge those who are stronger in math. I firmly believe that by making math and reading enjoyable, we can inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

On top of that, I'm also incredibly fortunate to be able to stay at home with my amazing 5-year-old triplets every day. They are an absolute joy!
