Students will be introduced to the application of visual effects in anime. We will explore animation techniques to create motion graphic effects. Anime which are commonly done with motion graphics include fire, smoke, flowing water, falling leaves, snow, dust, abstract visual effects like glowing objects, and impact splatter like explosions, sparks, meteor tails, etc. It is usually used in emotional scenes to beautify the scenes, or power up the characters in fights/ magical fights, with the intention of heightening up the feelings in the audience.

Teacher Brittany is a professional artist and illustrator.  She holds a BA in Arts with a concentration on Visual Technology.  She also gained valuable industry experience as Technology Lead and Animation Instructor at art schools. She has worked as a freelance concept artist and illustrator in game design. She utilizes a background in comics, storyboarding and animation to bring creative concepts to life. With a strong background in traditional and digital painting, Brittany is currently teaching a wide variety of classes in various mediums to merge her love for illustration, painting and game development.

An e-Certificate of Completion with grades will be provided for learners who have completed all weeks of the class. For learners who miss more than 3 times during the course, no certificate will be offered.
