In this ongoing course, we will visit the Common Core Reading Standards based on your child's independent reading level. These will visit comprehension strategies such as inferences, finding/using text evidence, compare and contrast, main idea and details, and so much more! We will also practice responding to reading through writing. The class will be structured in the I do (modeling), we do (guided practice), and you do (independent) model of learning. I will teach via shared screen in Zoom with Google Slides. The student interacts aloud and by writing on the screen via Zoom or utilizing Lumio by SMART to practice independently.

Statement for External (3rd Party Websites):
Google Slides will not need to be accessed by students, and therefore does not require an account. It will only be used as a shared screen method of instruction by the teacher via Zoom.
Lumio by SMART does not require an account, only a class code that will be shared during class for independent instruction. It is an instructional platform made by SMART (creators of Smartboards) where students can display their work in real time. If the student can "draw on the screen" in Zoom, Lumio access is not necessary for class.

My name is Teacher Elisabeth! I am a certified teacher in the state of Georgia (US) and am currently enrolled to receive my masters in Instructional Technology. I love teaching and I love integrating technology into learning! I have taught 4th and 5th grade in the public school setting for 5 years and also have experience teaching online/hybrid during the pandemic, as well as teaching online English to English Language Learners.
I teach classes that align with the upper elementary standards and objectives. My sole focus is in the subject areas of Math (decimals, fractions, place value, etc.) and Language Arts (grammar, novel studies, paragraph writing, opinion, narrative, and informational essays).レビュー
