This is a one-on-one tutoring class that will be personalized to the needs of the learner.  The parent may request specific skills to be taught and practiced, or may request that I give a short informal assessment to determine which areas should be given extra support.  

Reading skills may include letter recognition, phonics, phonemic awareness, decoding (such as CVC words), fluency, comprehension, spelling, grammar, writing, or other literacy skills.  

Math skills may include number sense, comparing numbers, shapes, adding, subtracting, word problems, measurement, etc. 

Lessons will include a short fun interactive presentation.  Instruction will be sprinkled with games, songs, movement and other fun activities. The goal is to guide the student in becoming a confident learner who enjoys the learning process.

I will also tailor lessons to match your learner’s interests when possible.
