Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
During each session, I will provide help to students who need extra support in understanding general chemistry or biology topics at the middle school or high school level (both regular and honors levels). I can help learners who are currently enrolled in Chemistry or Biology, learners who wish to gain exposure to high school Chemistry or Biology, and learners who are seeking to review level 1 Chemistry and Biology before taking AP courses.

My primary goal here is to help students learn the basic concepts and to enable them to complete their assignments independently. Since this is a one-on-one class, I can customize the lessons to what the learners need. This class is suitable for both home-schooled and traditionally schooled students.

The structure of the tutoring session will include providing an overview of the topic at hand, working one-on-one with each student to determine the area that requires improvement, and teaching the required topics. Depending on the topic, I may also utilize online open educational resources such as educational videos, online textbooks, simulations etc. to teach. I have online quizzes that I can make available depending on the topics being taught. I ask that students contact me at least two to three days in advance and share the materials/topics they would like me to go over. This way I can assist the learners appropriately based on their own schools' curricula and at their own levels.

Please note that this is NOT a tutoring class for AP or IB level courses. Below is the link for my 60 minute tutoring class for AP and IB level courses: https://outschool.com/classes/11-tutoring-chemistry-biology-anatomy-middle-high-schoolcollege-ap-ib-ewbstckX
