The first session will be a basic assessment of skills. It is vital that parents communicate prior to the class about what their concerns are and what level their child is at currently. This age group can be widely different in skill level and 15 minutes moves very quickly. 

After the first session the class is tailored to the child’s strengths and weaknesses. 

This class is for our youngest learners who have a typical attention span of 15 minutes.  

A typical class schedule will include:

Introduction and Greeting
Interactive Song or Activity to get started (5 minutes)
Interactive Lesson on Handwriting Legibility (5 minutes)
Handwriting or Prewriting Practice Together (5-10 minutes)
Conclusion and Goodbye

After the initial session, I will provide feedback to the parent within 24 hours.

I base my instruction on the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum and the Size Matters curriculum but also use my own techniques that I have acquired over my 20 years of working directly with students.
