Welcome to a fun and interactive reading adventure! In these personalized 1-on-1 lessons, we’ll explore the exciting world of letters, sounds, and words using a proven, step-by-step approach to phonics.

Each lesson is carefully structured and modified around your learners specific needs using the UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute) reading methods. This might include:
~ Recognize and connect letter sounds.
~ Blend and decode words with confidence.
~ Decoding tricky patterns
~ Break down bigger words into manageable parts.
~ Breaking down multisyllabic words.
~ Practice spelling patterns to boost writing skills.

Your learner's skills will be assessed, and placed in the following lessons according to their individual needs.

They will then be regularly progress monitored to assess if they need to move to a different lesson, repeat a lesson, or move forward. This processes is highly individualized and focuses solely on the learners needs.

I am a educator with over 7 of teaching experience and triple licensure in K-6 elementary education, K-12 special education, and K-12 TESOL. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education with a concentration in Inclusive Education and have completed advanced certifications, including RRtCP (Research to Classroom Practice) and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate.

Currently, I serve as a face-to-face resource special education teacher for grades K-4, where I specialize in creating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and designing targeted interventions to support diverse learners. My professional background includes working with students with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, hearing impairments, and other exceptionalities. This has equipped me with the skills to adapt instruction to meet unique needs and ensure all students thrive.

I also have extensive experience teaching English as a Second Language to students from around the world. In both classroom and online settings, I have helped students build confidence and mastery in reading, writing, and speaking English.

In all my teaching roles, I have prioritized evidence-based strategies, such as multisensory instruction for engaging multiple learning modalities, project-based learning to connect lessons to real-world applications, and explicit/direct phonics instruction to support literacy development. These approaches, combined with my dedication to fostering strong relationships, have made me effective in helping children succeed academically and personally.
