Super Power Readers Club Come and join the Super Power Readers Club! In this club we will read fun books and learn new skills and strategies for reading. Becoming a more powerful reader will help you have more fun reading! This class combines “story time” while teaching new skills to students in decoding, phonics, fluency and comprehension. I will teach foundational reading skills and comprehension strategies to your child. Each class will introduce a new story and a new reading strategy. In these lessons, beginning readers will learn to integrating strategies for decoding, fluency and comprehension. This will support children with understanding stories and reading with greater ease and fluency. The books in this class also teach children valuable social skills. Topics will include: - Individualized instruction with teacher. - Activities with visuals to support learning - Teacher modeling of reading strategies - Time for drawing about your favorite parts in the books. - Downloadable cards to review each of the reading strategies taught. - Self-assessment tool.
