Students will improve their understanding of either the violin or viola.
Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the difference between pizzicato and arco. 
Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the notes on C, G, D, A, and E strings in 1st positions. (C with Viola, E with Violin)
Students will be able to demonstrate correct posture when holding the instrument and bow.
Students will be able to organize the different finger patterns needed for different key signatures. 

I have a Honors Bachlor's in Music Education with a focus in violin. I started learning piano at the age of five, and began learning the violin in the 6th grade. While working toward my degree, I also took private lessons for the viola, cello, and double bass. During my time at the university, I was given the opportunity to participate in the full orchestra on campus, performing a wide variety of classical music. Currently, I am performing in a community orchestra in my town where we perform four performances a year, as well as in person teaching a local music school. I do have 3 years of experience in public school teaching at the elementary level, teaching general music.
