I have taught 5-8 math resource for four years.  This individual tutoring session is designed to assist learners with completing and understanding class work and homework.  Your learner will bring unfinished class work or homework problems for completion, and we will work together to better understand the concept and complete the problem(s).  I will instruct your learner and guide him/her through the steps.  If homework is completed before the session ends, I will provide your learner will additional problems similar to the one(s) the learner came to class with.  I will show the learner how to complete the problem, we will do a problem together, and then the learner will try a problem independently.
This session can also be used to help your learner prepare for an upcoming math test or prepare for a new unit that his/her class will be starting.  Topics that can be covered include  basic addition and subtraction facts, multiplication and division, word problems, fractions, and basic graphing concepts.
