1-1 ピアノとその先（ピアノ、作詞作曲、音楽制作、理論！）

This 1-1 class provides a highly individualized learning setting for young musicians. Our team of skilled and committed piano instructors offer our students a comprehensive and project-based learning environment, where students can gain a strong foundation (as they would in traditional lesson settings), and experience music coming to life through opportunities to compose, write, and even produce their own music!

Music is a language, and beginner theory is the foundation. In weekly lessons, learners will use original You Be You Music Room curriculum to gain fluency in rhythm notation, note notation and sight-reading, scales, warm-ups, and more. What makes You Be You Music Room's approach different from many traditional approaches, however, is students will always have the opportunity to *use* their new knowledge through original projects and composition. This allows learners to feel a sense of personal ownership and autonomy of their craft, as well as reinforcing complicated concepts by using them (just like a regular language!)

You Be You instructors offer a creative, playful, and yet focused environment, with weekly practice goals set collaboratively each week between teacher and student.

Depending on age, we also incorporate an element of play into our work through ear-training games and more. 

No experience is required (though all students will need access to a keyboard or piano at home!), though it is welcome!
