このクラスで学べること
Your child will master math skills in order to be a successful learner in their current grade and beyond. Content will be tailored to YOUR child as an individual. Whether you want addition, number sense, subtraction, and much more, I can help your learner grow! Your learner will also learn and practice to have a "growth mindset" that will allow them to face any obstacle with determination, and hold the power of "yet". We will follow an interactive “I Do, You Do, We Do” model with a hands on approach. We will integrate technology in to our lessons to ensure that students are engaged, and having fun learning. I use a variety of tools for lessons including games, slides, videos, songs, discussions, and more! All that your learner needs is themselves. My class will not only teach academics, but problem solving as well. Finally, I rely heavily on data that I collect during each class to help inform instruction and intervention for your child going forward.

受講に必要なもの
Learner only needs them selves, their device, a piece of paper or whiteboard, and something to write with unless I reach out with further instructions (the most that I would ask for would be a few colored pencils/crayons/ or markers, a whiteboard)! I do use different websites depending on what is being taught, therefore if websites are used I will reach out to families ahead of time. Most resources used don't require an account aside from having a google account.

My name is Alexa Spilis, I am so glad that you are here! If you are searching for a dedicated educator to help your PK-4 child reach their goals, you are in the right place! My job as an educator is to collaborate with families and learners to plan and implement individualized lessons that cater to your learners needs, strengths, and learning styles. I currently am an educator in New Jersey, and I hold a B.A in Elementary Education and Special Education and my passion is helping grow young minds! I live for those “lightbulb” moments. I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 3rd Grade as well as Special Education. I am skilled in intervention and enrichment in Reading, Writing, Phonics, and the Mathematics. However, my greatest joy is not only teaching academics, but teaching a growth mindset in students that they can use forever! I have taught a diverse array of students and my teaching philosophy focuses on using a universal design for instruction while differentiating for each individual.
