Math can be a complex subject! This class is designed to help meet each student's individual needs. During our sessions, your student will have the opportunity to fill gaps, learn new concepts, or practice already-learned skills. The end goal is for your student to build upon their skills and become more confident with their math abilities. Since this course is intended to meet each student's individual needs it is helpful if you can provide information regarding your student's current needs in math. Based on this information I will use our first session to get to know your student and gather additional information. This will include collecting data on their current knowledge and understanding of different math concepts. I have vast experience working with students in grades K-5 (including homeschooling my children). I can support any range of math abilities at the elementary level and provide individualized instruction to meet each student's math needs. Each week may look different depending on student needs. Depending on needs, sessions can be designed to build upon concepts, explore new concepts, review previously covered topics, and/or solidify current math skills. Pencil and paper OR whiteboard and dry-erase marker. Additional supplies may be needed based on the student's needs. I will communicate accordingly if necessary.

I’m a licensed K-6 educator with a Masters in Linguistically Diverse Education K-12. With over 17 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked in full-time classrooms, provided tutoring and intervention, taught for homeschool programs, and even coached other teachers!
