Group experience
Welcome to the Minecraft gaming club for kids ages 8-13. This club has a Java Realm to play on and fun discussion topics throughout the week! Most of the group gets on the server on Friday nights to hang out! Throughout the week, kids can provide screenshots and short videos of all of their Minecraft adventures on the board. Or they can start up a fun Minecraft-themed conversation. Have a tricky Minecraft question? Ask it in the group too! Some examples of the fun discussion topics inlcude: Is Herobrine Real? -Can you guess this Minecraft Emoji? -Have you read The Story of Steve? -What's your favorite Minecraft Youtuber? And so much more! This group offers: -Minecraft Trivia -Minecraft talk about mobs, mods, Minecraft skin, gameplay, and more -Minecraft games in the discussion board -A place to show off your latest builds -A library of Minecraft Kahoot Games -A Java Realms with a creative world, survival world, and special mini-game days. (All announced on the group page) The Minecraft Server: -is for JAVA players -is hosted via Minecraft Realms Creative Weekends: Friday through Sunday the Realms is set to the creative mode world! Right now, the world has the following areas: Students can teleport to these areas using commands, and the coordinates are listed on the Outschool Board. -has 2 parkour maps -has 1 escape room (with some parkour) -Has 1 skeleton/zombie hunt arena -Has 1 The Floor is Lava Game -Has 3 mazes -Has an overworld village -has a nether village -lots of portals -Pixel art like among us, snowmen, castles, giant pumpkins, giant mobs and more -5 roller costers -Tons more great builds to explore Mini Game Monday: Each Monday A New Java Mini game will be up on the Realms for students to test out and play. Some examples include Pizza time or Parkour. The game will be avalible all day on Monday so students can hop on at any time! Mid-Week Survival! Tuesday through Thursday a survival world set to normal mode will be avalible on the realms for the students to work on building up together. They can log on whenever they want to build up the world and test their Minecraft survival skills. To join the Realms send me your gamer tag when you join the group! Further instructions are pinned to the top of the group board! THIS IS AN OUTSCHOOL GROUP! There are no live meetings! Many students get on the server to build together on Fridays and Saturdays!
Learning Goals
Students will work on their Minecraft skills as well as social skills via messaging on the group discussion boards and having the option of playing Minecraft together on a group server!

Parental Guidance
This is a Minecraft class. Students will be able to see other kids Minecraft gaming tags within the server. However, the server is whitelisted, no one will be able to access it except the students currently enrolled in the class during class time.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
