Experiencia de clase
In this 4-day course, students will learn various tools to help them nourish a loving friendship with themselves and feel confident and self-worth as they journey through life. They will learn tools such as mirror talk, positive self-talk, and gratitiude. We will meet monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, and friday. Please see the syllabus for the specifics of each day. Week 1Lesson 1The importance of Self-Care and Honoring Your UniqunessIn this lesson students will learn what self-care means for them and will learn the importance of honoring the characteristics, desires, opinions, etc. that make them who they are.Lesson 2Build Confidence by Transforming your Self-talkIn this lesson, students will learn how to become aware of their negative self-talk and transform it to positive self-talk. They will learn the power of positive thinking and will practice mirror talk.Lesson 3Gratitude for Your Life and Positive PerspectiveIn this lesson, students will learn how appreciating all the good and not so good things in life can bring about more joy and love for themselves and others. They will write a thank you note to themselves and will create an appreciation collage of all the things in their life they are grateful for. We will also discuss viewing challenges with a positive perspective.Lesson 4Imagination is Key for Creating ConfidenceIn this lesson, students will be empowered to us their imagination to create how they want to feel and be in this world. If they want to feel confident at their game or performance, they can use visualization to practice and improve.
